On Wensday 20th, beneficiaries of the Elderly Day Care Center made a trip to Chisinau.

When we think of arranging a new trip we always try to offer something new to them. Some of our elders haven’t left the village for years, because of their health or financial situation. Because of their isolation, they are not up to date with the changes that have happened in our country. There are so many new things that they still need to see and enjoy!

Because the weather is so hot these days, we decided to start the trip early in the morning. At first we stopped at a Pizza House for a time of fellowship and pizza. There were no pizza houses during their  youth period. Something new, interesting and very tasty! It was also a good time to share memories and impressions. After the pizza house we went to visit the Zoo. Many impressions, much joy, and smiles.

Melania is one of our beneficiary who joined us in this trip. Here are some of her impressions: “I enjoyed very much this trip to Chisinau. It was a big surprize for us to go to Pizza. The waiters were very polite and kind to us. The food was delicious. Some of us have never tasted pizza before. I liked also the visit to Zoo. We saw many different animals and birds. I liked to watch the ostrich. The territory of the Zoo is so clean and nice, they have flowers of different colors and species. I am very grateful to all those who made this trip possible for us. Thank you for your care and diligence. May you all be blessed.”

Nicolae attends the Elderly Day Care Center from the very beginning. Every day he is the first to come to the center. He said that he haven’t been at the Zoo since 1969. “It has changed a lot. I am so glad that I have the possibility to travel outside of Tintareni. I enjoyed the animals. Also, the pizza was very tasty.”

This day enriched the lives of our elders with new memories. Such activities make them feel young again and appreciated.
